The city is blooming and buzzing. We have collected the best spring programs for you near our Budapest design hotel:

March 30 – Earth Hour

Lanchíd 19 design hotel Budapest is also participating in the yearly event when lights illuminating several buildings are turned off for Earth Hour a planet-friendly initiative run by WWF worldwide to shine a light on climate change. The campaign is also joined by the Buda Castle and museums. Some organise candlelit dinners in the city.

April 5-22 – Spring Festival

World-class concerts,  exhibitions and shows for you to merge at the Budapest Spring Festival, a yearly held cultural event.

April 9-14 – Budapest Art Week

You can get access to many of the city’s museums and art galleries, featuring abundant exhibitions and cultural events during Budapest Art Week. Six days for you to meet the artists themselves, visit as many galleries as you can.

Till April 20th – Budapest Photo Festival

The festival features Hungary’s pictorial heritage from classic to contemporary. Dozens of photo galleries host exhibitions during the event.

April 6 – June 30 – Michelangelo exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts

Straight from the Louvre, the Uffizi and the British Museum, 80 artworks of Michelangelo, the genius of the Italian Renaissance will be exhibited in the renewed Museum of Fine Arts. We are sure this will be one of the most popular programs in the city in the coming months.

April 14 – Spring half marathon

Are you a sport fan? Join the two-day jogging event, choose between diverse distances, including the ten-kilometre Vivicittà and the 21-kilometre half marathon. Be prepared to thousands of people participating as this might be the biggest sports event of the year.

April 28 – Budapest mass cycling by I Bike Budapest

Several roads will be closed for the thousands of bikers to raise awareness of the need for better biking conditions in the city.

May 16-19 – Gourmet Fest at Millenáris Park

The annual picnic of at least 50 Hungarian restaurants and pubs featuring their very best dishes and drinks. Paprika, beer and crusty bread are the main themes for this year’s festival.
