Our design hotel's neighbouring Castle Garden Bazaar organizes a day for families featuring craftsman fair, concerts and exhibitions.
March 15th is the greatest national holiday for Hungarian people, commemorating the 1848 Revolution when Hungary proclaimed its independence from Austria. Although the uprising wasn’t successful, later Austria granted partial autonomy to Hungary. Every 15 March, speeches and commemorations are held nationwide, and Hungarians wear red-white-green cockades above their hearts. In Budapest many major museums and visits to the Parliament are free. All baths and spas are open.
Each year there are plenty of programs to choose from. Our design hotel’s neighbouring Castle Garden Bazaar organizes a day for families featuring craftsman fair, concerts and exhibitions. There is a free passage to Buda Castle straight from Castle Garden Bazaar (Várkert Bazár) to the Royal Palace of Buda.
In the Buda Castle area, at Dísz tér there will be an artisan market and several concerts by Hungarian orchestras. In the Museum of Military History, several exhibitions and presentations will be held on the revolution.
