Budapest Easter programs near Lanchid 19 city hotel.
Several Easter markets are held in Budapest offering cultural programs, folk music, craft stalls and traditional Hungarian Easter dishes. Vörösmarty Square, which is a 10-minute walk from Lanchid 19 design hotel is probably the most popular as it is in the center of the city.
Várkert Bazaar next to our city hotel also holds several events around Easter. The beautiful neo-Renaissance palaces of the Castle Garden host a 3-day festival with lots of concerts and family programs over the Easter holiday. Egg painting is usually the most popular program for both children and adults as it is a special and beloved tradition in Hungary. There will be special pop and acoustic concerts in the afternoon for you to party.
Easter Sunday is basically a family feast, Easter Monday is the day when young men visit young women, sprinkling them with some perfume or a bucket of water – also a Hungarian tradition.
